Ziva Naseer at the 15 Percent Pledge Gala: In Rooms We Once Dreamed Of
There are moments in a brand’s journey that feel almost poetic — like the universe whispering, “you’re right where you’re meant to be.”
This spring, one of those moments arrived for us.
Our Kadijah Ziva Bag, a statement of craftsmanship and cultural artistry, was seen gracing the red carpet at the 15 Percent Pledge Gala: Black Tie, Black Designer, worn by none other than Jasmine Foster, founder of Be Rooted — a Forbes-featured entrepreneur and a shining example of modern Black excellence.
Captured alongside celebrity stylist Law Roach, known for styling icons like Zendaya and Celine Dion, Jasmine carried the Kadijah with the same confidence and grace that inspired its creation. The evening celebrated brilliance, fashion, and impact — honoring Black designers, founders, and creatives who continue to redefine the luxury landscape.
The 15 Percent Pledge Gala is more than an event; it’s a movement. Each year, the organization awards three Black-owned businesses with monetary grants to help expand their efforts and sustain their dreams. To witness our design — one born from tradition, art, and heart — in that room among such powerful voices and visionaries was deeply affirming.
For us at Ziva Naseer, it was a reminder that our handbags — handcrafted by artisans, rooted in heritage, and designed to spark conversation — are finding their way into rooms we once only imagined.
From Abu Dhabi to California, from studio sketches to red carpets, our journey continues — beautifully, purposefully, and unapologetically ours.
Ziva Naseer was there.
And we’re just getting started.
