After a beautiful season of maternity leave, our founder Dominique Birdsong has returned with more motivation than ever to grow, create, and expand the Ziva Naseer legacy. Becoming a mother again has only deepened her vision—because Ziva Naseer has always been about more than handbags. We are about legacy, artistry, and empowering women to carry pieces that tell a story.

And today, we are proud to share a milestone that reflects that vision: Ziva Naseer has been selected to join Goldman Sachs’ One Million Black Women: Black in Business program.

This national recognition marks a turning point for us. From humble beginnings in a cozy Abu Dhabi apartment, to handcrafting 41 one-of-a-kind mosaic handbags, to selling out at Essence Festival—our journey has been fueled by our community of Ziva Divas who believe in cultural craftsmanship and individuality.

Now, with the support of Goldman Sachs, we are positioning Ziva Naseer to reach more women across the nation. No longer will our designs be treasures discovered only at festivals or local shows. Soon, Ziva Naseer will be accessible to women everywhere—because every woman deserves a bag that is as unique and powerful as she is.
